Hapan ceremonial armour was created for the aesthetic value while still functioning as protection for the wearer. In existence as long as the Hapes Consortium, ornate armour has seen many changes over its many years of service. It is custom made to suit an individual wearer, which is a stark contrast to the armour of the Imperial Royal Guard or that of the Falleen Federation. Exclusively worn by the members of the Hapan Phoenix Guard and high ranking officers in the Consortium it is easy to understand why such great lengths are taken to ensure the unique fit of this armour.

Each suit may take weeks to complete because both the crafting methods and custom specifications are complex. With a delicately selected combination of the finest quality Quantum, Varium and Lommite the Hapan craftsmen set to work melting down ingots in their centuries-old blast furnaces. Once the smiths have completed their work the armour is passed on to some of the best artisans the Consortium has to offer. It is here that the Phoenix crest is inlaid upon it. Finally, it is ornamented with various gemstones as a testament to the great wealth of the Consortium.

While each set is its own unique, artistic masterpiece there has been a degree of standardization over the past century. This has been primarily to ensure the protection of the wearer. Worn as a single piece covering the torso and upper legs, the armour offers protection against melee attack, but due to the age of the design it is less effective against projectile weaponry.
