Throughout history, shelters have evolved from simple leaves and sticks to large duracrete homes and skyscrapers. While technology would advance quickly, the need for something portable to live and sleep in became apparent. Whether it was the need to live in the wilderness for a brief period of time or to explore parts of worlds unseen by anyone else, the development of the tent is seen as one of the most necessary building blocks of society ever made.
The Tent is made of a variety of materials which can come in any color. Tents are generally made from a light fabric, easy to fold with a small zipper or clasped fabric door on the front. Supporting the fabric are several flexible plastic or meleenium beams that prop the tent up for a user to sleep in. When the beams are set up, they are generally planted into the ground with stakes made of plastic or metal along with a secondary fabric over the top to repel rainwater.
Tents are found in almost every culture across the galaxy. Most uses in today's society come in the form of rediscovering nature in its purest form. Entire families would be taken out to go camping, share stories and eat at campfires to enjoy nature and things around them. While tents have evolved in different fashions over the years ranging from camouflage to specially designed hostile environment, they will always still be used for centuries to come, even if just used by a child, pretending to camp in the living room.
