By far the most populous region of Tamra II is in the jungles of the southern hemisphere. After crash landing on the planet surface several hundred years ago, a colony of Wookiees decided to stay. Though the jungles of Tamra II are not as treacherous as those of the Wookiee homeworld, the survivors chose to build their new communities among the tree-tops. These arboreal villages are centered on specific Source Trees which are solitary growths emerging like watchtowers from the dense canopy.

The Sultarra Wetlands lie to the northwest. The everglade is one of the most vital ecosystems on the planet despite being completely submerged every two months as the gravitational pull of Tamra III manipulates the tides of the Eshyrr Ocean. Non-Wookiee settlers stay in the coastal areas or live on the ocean itself and maintain a close relationship and dependency on the seas.
