Settled in the Year 18, Day 132 by the King Father of the Faerytail Kingdom, Simkin Dragoneel, Daluuj is a glorious anomaly renowned across the galaxy for the ‘impossible’ rings of ice and rock around the terrestrial planet. The unique and breathtaking feature draws millions of tourists every year to the planet, fueling an impressive economy that almost sprung up overnight.

The initial survey of Daluuj revealed a planet in a constant state of chaos and discord, making settlement initially impossible. The ethereal rings of ice and rock around the planet, while beautiful, rained destruction down upon the planet. Occasional collisions and inevitable gravitational decay brought meteors crashing down upon an otherwise pristine planet, some large enough to establish new mountain ranges as they settled into the planet. Archaeological surveys suggest this constant introduction of foreign matter from the rings produced a stunning variety of evolutionary lines across the planet. Underwater volcanic activity, across both oceans and swamps, causes large amounts of evaporation, which returns as an almost constant rain across the planet, providing the hot, humid swampy conditions primordial life favours.

Along with the incredible wealth of biodiversity of the planet, the rings provided an almost unbelievable source of rare and precious raw materials, both within the ring and deposited on the planet below. Accessing them while simultaneously protecting the vulnerable young planet was a colossal undertaking. State of the art shield generators were developed and deployed across the surface of the planet, protecting the surface from all but the largest errant meteor. The rings themselves are stabilized using repulsor and anti-gravity technology on the largest of the meteors. Several defensive stations are responsible for constantly monitoring the condition of the rings, coordinating the orbits of thousands of rocks and ice chunks within.

With conditions on the planet stabilized, the true potential of Daluuj was unlocked.
