Situated in the Kalamith sector of the Outer Rim Territories and sequestered directly along the hyperspace route of the Hydian Way, Toprawa is a particularly idiosyncratic star, ringed by the debris of an unfortunate, and less massive companion erring too close for comfort in the very distant past. Formed from the protoplanetary disk, four solid planetary bodies remain to orbit this yellow sun - each composed of a dense metal core, a liquid mantle, and a lithosphere. The planetoids are arranged in stable, ellipsoid orbitals and three of the worlds boast a magnetosphere strong enough to retain an atmosphere and consequently support the fundamentals for organic life.

Discovered in tandem with explorations into the New Territories of the galaxy, Toprawa was consolidated as part of Centrepoint conglomerate territory soon thereafter. Used chiefly as a resource-rich area for Centrepoint Mining's frontier endeavors, including large-scale alazhi farming by Centrepoint HealthCare, in recent history the system oversight has been awarded to Veritas Press. A corporate governorship exists here to oversee the entire Kalamith sector. Governance in the single system of Toprawa is further divided into three spheres of interest; so-called administrative regions, based on historical and natural boundaries, with each world supervised by an appointed official.
