The Goratak Vanguard is a unit of dissidents who broke from the Confederacy of Independent Systems following their exile from their home world of Goratak. Once loyal Separatists, they were cast out by CIS leadership for refusing to bow to the paranoia and hatred that had come to define the Confederacy's final days.
Goratak is an arctic world, a frozen expanse of ice and wind where only the strong endure. Its people were forged in cold and hardship, and that resilience now defines the Vanguard. They carry the memory of their frozen home in their blood, and they will not rest until they reclaim it.
They came to the Eternal Empire not as refugees, but as warriors seeking purpose. They found it. Now, they fight not for a distant cause, but for the hope of one day returning to Goratak and freeing their people from the grip of those who abandoned them.
