The EDF is the expeditionary arm of the Chiss military and is charged with protecting Chiss interests wherever they may be threatened, carrying the strength of the Ascendancy into the wider galaxy. Its vessels patrol distant systems, protect Chiss citizens and territory, support allied operations, and confront dangers that threaten the Chiss people.

Service within the EDF is founded upon discipline, preparation, and duty. Its officers and personnel are expected to act with purpose rather than spectacle, placing the security of the Ascendancy above personal ambition. From the command decks of capital ships to the cockpits of starfighters, every member of the Fleet forms part of a larger force built around coordination, patience, and overwhelming strength when battle becomes necessary.

At the centre of EDF operations are its capital ships. Heavy warships that form the core of the battle line, supported by frigates, corvettes, fighters, and specialist vessels operating together as a unified force. Service in the Fleet may carry a Chiss far beyond Csilla, but every deployment begins and ends with the same intent: the protection and advancement of our people.
